Whiskey Island and Pickles Pub - Sierra Nevada Beer Dinner

Join us on Wednesday Nite April 15, 2009 at Pickles Pub in Downtown Baltimore for an 8 Course Beer Dinner pairing the “Gourmet Peasant Cuisine” of Mick T. Pirate and the flavorful Seasonal, Specialty and Everyday Beers of the Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico, California!! Dinner starts at 6 pm!  Check out the menu below!!!

First Course - Appetizer

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

Prince Edward Island Mussels in a Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale, garlic, red pepper and butter broth - Served with locally baked Artesian Crusty Peasant Baquette

 

Second Course - Soup

Sierra Nevada Stout

Irish Stew made with Sierra Nevada Stout, hearty stock, beef, garlic, potatoes, carrots and onion and served with locally made Struen Celtic Harvest Bread

Third Course - Salad

Sierra Nevada Wheat Beer

Arugula and Spinach Greens Salad topped with Asian Pears, hearts of palm, roasted pine nuts, Gorganzola cheese, fresh ground black pepper and a Homemade Sierra Nevada Wheat Beer Vineagrette

Fourth Course - Frommage

Sierra Nevada ESB

Brie Cheese, Locally Made Goat Chevre and Cave Aged Cheddar Cheese and Smoked Gryer Cheese served with black olives, flatbreads and Sierra Nevada Stout, Pale Ale and Porter Mustards

Fifth Course - Intermezzo

Sierra Nevada Tornado Extra IPA

Sliced Radishes and Turnips to cleanse and sharpen the Pallete

Sixth Course - Dinner

Sierra Nevada Porter

Crawfish Etouffee in a rich tomato sauce with peppers, onions and garlic, served over Savory Grits

Seventh Course - Nibbles and Bits

Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale

Smoked Salmon Bruschetta topped with Chive Cream Cheese

Eight Course - Dessert

Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barley Wine

Vanilla “Barley Wine” Cake (Think Rum Cake, but made with Bigfoot Ale), topped with Baked Pears, apples, raspberry puree and vanilla infused powder sugar.
